Privacy Policy
Last updated: December 31, 2024
Summary: Symbiont Analyzer sends message text to our server for AI-powered classification. Only the message content is transmitted - sender names and timestamps stay on your device. Message data is processed in memory only and is not stored on our server.
1. Information We Process
When you analyze a WhatsApp chat export, the app sends message text only to our classification server. This is necessary for the AI model to analyze communication patterns.
What is sent to our server:
- Message text content (for classification)
What stays on your device:
- Sender names
- Timestamps
- Phone numbers
- Media attachments (not processed)
- Analysis results and profiles
2. How Classification Works
The app requires an internet connection to classify messages:
- Messages are sent in batches to our secure server (api.socialcompass.ai)
- Our AI model (multilingual BERT) analyzes the text and returns a classification
- Classifications are: Bee, Ant, Butterfly, Capybara, or Leech
- Results are returned to your device and stored locally
- The app cannot work offline - server connection is required
3. Data Retention on Server
Message text sent to our server:
- Is processed in memory only
- Is NOT stored or logged
- Is NOT used for training our models
- Is deleted immediately after classification
4. Data Storage on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device:
- Analyzed chat metadata (chat names, dates)
- Sender profiles and classification statistics
- Your app preferences
You can delete all stored data at any time by clearing app data in your phone's settings.
5. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect:
- Your name, email, or contact information
- Your location
- Device identifiers
- Analytics or tracking data
- Sender names from your chats
6. Third-Party Services
Symbiont Analyzer does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service used is our own classification server.
7. Security
All communication with our server uses HTTPS encryption. Message data is:
- Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2/1.3)
- Never written to disk on our server
- Processed in isolated memory
8. Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
